Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your BakLater account and its cloud data at any time.

Delete in the mobile app

1. Open BakLater on iPhone, iPad, or Android and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Delete Account and confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the mobile app, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account. Use the subject "BakLater Account Deletion". We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request.

Delete individual saved records

You can delete a saved recommendation without deleting your account:

1. Open the saved record in the BakLater mobile app.
2. Open the More menu and select Delete.
3. The record and its associated notes, tags, rating, reflection, metadata, and sharing visibility are removed locally and from the synced cloud copy.

You can also email [email protected] from the address associated with your account to request deletion of specified cloud data without deleting the account. We may ask you to verify ownership and identify the data to remove.

What is deleted

Deletion removes the BakLater server account, profile and display name, linked Apple and Google identity references, active sessions and TV connections, Friends and Family invitations and connections, blocks, abuse reports involving the account, and the cloud copy of saved recommendations and their associated notes, tags, ratings, reflections, sharing settings, metadata, and links.

Retention

Account data is removed from active systems when deletion is completed. Friends and Family abuse reports involving the account are not retained after account deletion. If BakLater is legally required to preserve a limited record, only the required fields will be kept for the legally required period. Local records stored on a phone are not removed by server-side account deletion; use the app's local deletion controls or uninstall the app to remove them.
